About Scott

I help people think clearly, regulate their emotional responses, and move forward when they feel stuck.

Most of the people I work with are capable, thoughtful adults who have already done some inner work, but still find themselves looping around the same decisions, patterns, or emotional reactions. My role is not to “fix” you, but to help you notice what’s getting in the way and give you tools to work with it.

Clear communication, both internal and external, is central to this process. When you can hear yourself accurately and respond instead of react, change tends to follow.

My Background

My professional background is unusual by design.

I’ve spent decades working as an instructional illustrator, helping people understand complex systems and make sense of information that initially feels overwhelming. Alongside that work, I’ve been deeply engaged in personal development and coaching since 2006.

That combination shapes how I coach. I’m practical, pattern-oriented, and focused on clarity. We slow things down enough to understand what’s actually happening, then apply tools that help shift emotional charge and decision-making in real time.

Training & Experience (Selected)

I’ve trained extensively in Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), including the original certification pathway, with ongoing mentorship under EFT Master and relationship coach Paul Cutright. I’m also a certified Integral Relationships Coach through the Center for Enlightened Relationships.

My background includes study in social psychology, human development, and behavioral science, as well as leadership training and long-term involvement in men’s group work and facilitation.

I continue to refine my approach through practice, study, and real-world application.

How I Work

I bring a calm, non-judgmental presence to sessions. I listen carefully, reflect patterns back to you, and help you test practical tools you can continue using on your own.

Clients often describe the work as grounding, clarifying, and surprisingly efficient. The goal isn’t endless self-analysis. It’s increased awareness, emotional steadiness, and better choices under pressure.

What Clients Say

“Scott’s easy, friendly, accepting manner and his intuitive skill with EFT helped me get to the root of long-standing beliefs very quickly. I’m more relaxed, less hard on myself, and finally able to move forward on decisions I’d been avoiding.”
Lisa Dennys

“Scott listens without judgment and gives you tools you can actually use. I’m calmer, more confident, and better able to think clearly when challenges come up.”
Catherine

Is Coaching With Me a Fit?

Coaching may be a good fit if you:

  • Want clarity, not hype

  • Are willing to look honestly at your patterns

  • Value practical tools over spiritual bypassing

If that resonates, we can talk.
